We are intending to scarify the greens prior to hollow coring with out turf works units that fit onto our John Deere 2500B tee's and approach mower. These lines will be very sympathetic but will allow us to get more dressing and seed into the surface. We are aiming to go 5mm - 8mm into the surface. Below are some pictures of how the scarifying looks and the extra organic matter/thatch that can be removed.
Some recent pictures of the course
Yet another tee marker has been smashed on the 14th tee. This will have to stay like this now for a while, while we wait for the new ones to arrive.
Thank you to everyone who filled in a questionnaire. They have all been discussed at the last greens meeting.
The worn area to the left of the 8th approach has had some holes put in it and seeded and top dressed.
The wet area to the left of the 12th fairway has been dug out and a soak away put in then top dressed and seeded. There is no leaking sprinkler here.
As usual if you have any questions that need answering please fill out the form to the right of the page.
For those who like their gadgets we are now members of My Pin Point. It allows you to see the daily pin positions on your hand held device. It is definitely available on IOS but i'm not sure about android. Download the app Mypinpoint. Pin positions go live as soon as we have finished changing the holes.
